The Enterprise asked random students at Park Rapids Area High School, “Should our schools have school resource officers? Why or why not?” These are their answers.

HaloFinley.WOTS.SRO.3797.JPG — Halo Finley: “I think it’s great for us because we do have some students that get into some big trouble. Like, last year, a student literally almost killed someone.”

FranklinCondiff.WOTS.SRO.3786.JPG — Franklin Condiff: “I think they’re useful. I think that we should have them, just to keep everybody safe.”

CollinBremel.WOTS.SRO.3798.JPG — Collin Bremel: “I think we should have them, because, say there’s a school shooter or something. He could come out faster than other responders and take out them out.”

ChristianBeaulieu.WOTS.SRO.3776.JPG — Christian Beaulieu: “Yes, just to keep everyone safe if someone tries to get into the building to attack them. Just for safety.”

CailynnZabel.WOTS.SRO.3794.JPG — Cailynn Zabel: “Yes, because there’s a lot of stuff that happens in schools that shouldn’t be happening, and I think we need someone to be there just in case something happens.”
