Over the last few years, it has built up a loyal customer base and has opened 30 new restaurants in areas such as CamdenReading and Brighton.

The chain, which made its return to the UK high street in 2021 after a 20-year hiatus, has been hailed as “better than McDonald’s“.

Fans in particular rave about their “god tier” signature square burgers and iconic ice cream milkshakes known as Frostys.

Now they’ll be able to pick up their favourites in even more sites too.

The American fast-food giant has confirmed it will be serving more foodies across eight new locations in the UK this year, with more on their way.

It was unable to confirm the exact dates of the openings but we will keep readers updated.

Wendy’s will be cutting the ribbon on a new site in Middlesbrough in the coming months.

Then, Liverpool will also welcome its first brick-and-mortar restaurant later this year, following the launch of a delivery kitchen which opened in 2023.

Sheffield is also getting a second restaurant, joining its first high street location which opened in 2022.

Wendy’s franchisee, GH Burgers, will be opening its first restaurant in Wood Green, north London in 2024.

While another franchisee restaurant is opening in Newcastle too.

Both will still serve fresh Wendy’s menu items at Wendy’s prices.

Fans in Essex will also be able to enjoy Wendy’s when it launches in Southend-on Sea.

After a year in Northern Gateway Leisure Park, Wendy’s will be opening its second restaurant in Colchester too.

It will be bang on the high street.

The new Cambridge restaurant will be welcoming foodies for the first time in 2024 too.

The news comes just weeks after the burger chain announced it was lunching new menu items to rival Maccies.

Wendy’s has launched its own version of a much-loved item that its rival McDonald’s discontinued, the Snack Wrap.

Wendy’s has added four wraps to the UK menu – Signature Chicken, BBQ Chicken, Curry Mayo and Avocado Chicken.

The wraps feature chicken topped with shredded cheddar cheese, salad and either Heinz mayo or another sauce of your choice.

The new options are fully customisable, so even the fussiest of eaters will be able to change their orders to their liking.

Fans can pick whether to have classic, spicy or grilled chicken fillets inside.

Each wrap is priced at just under £3 individually or £7.99 for a combo meal which includes two wraps, medium fries and a medium drink.

Wendy’s wraps are available now at any of its sites.

Meanwhile, McDonald’s fans will be eager to know the latest on the return of a beloved breakfast dish that hasn’t been available in four years.

Plus, have a look inside world’s ‘biggest’ Wendy’s where hundreds of hungry fans travel 150 miles to queue for hours to get a taste.
