Enterprise reports system glitch that affected local utility bills

ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WTVY) – The City of Enterprise along with thousands of others were affected by a third-party system glitch that locally resulted in incorrect utility bills being sent to some residents.

The city identified Tyler Technologies as the third-party system.

“Unfortunately, our citizens were affected by a technology problem that was out of our control, but we have been working diligently with the third-party software provider to resolve it,” Enterprise Chief Financial Officer LeeAnn Swartz said. “New utility bills with the correct amount due should arrive next week.”

The online payment system impacted by the glitch is now working.

Utility bills can also be paid at the Enterprise Water Department office located inside Enterprise City Hall between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
