Baldur’s Gate 3 wins Best Game at the 2024 BAFTA Games Awards

Baldur’s Gate 3 has won the award for best game at the 2024 BAFTA Awards.

Alan Wake 2 took home two awards, including for artistic achievement and audio achievement.

Aside from best game, Baldur’s Gate 3 also took home the EE Game of the Year, which is the only award voted for by the general public.

Nintendo took home 4 awards, split evenly between The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Super Mario Bros. Wonder.

UK gaming charity SpecialEffect was presented with the Special Award. Since it was set up by former teacher Mick Donegan in 2007, SpecialEffect has focused on helping physically disabled people, especially children, play video games.

The Special Award, which is one of the highest accolades offered by BAFTA, recognises “outstanding contributions to film, games or television”.
