World’s first smartphone with 18GB RAM and 1TB storage launched


ZTE has launched a limited edition model of its flagship smartphone dubbed as ZTE Axon 30 Ultra Aerospace Edition in China. As per the company, the special edition smartphone is developed as a tribute to the spirit of space exploration and Chinese space heroes. The smartphone is the first of its kind as it packs 18GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The device also gets a virtual RAM feature, which means that it can offer an additional 2GB RAM — making it up to 20GB RAM.
The smartphone sports a space theme and the packaging that it comes with features a planet on it. The case too is exclusive to the phone.
ZTE Axon 30 Ultra Aerospace Edition specifications
ZTE Axon 30 Ultra Aerospace Edition features a 6.67-inch FHD+ curved AMOLED screen with support for HDR 10+. The display has a refresh rate of 144Hz. Under the hood, the device sports a Snapdragon 888 chipset paired with 18GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
When it comes to the camera, the device has a quad-camera setup at the back with three 64MP lenses and a 8MP periscope telephoto sensor. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone sports a 16MP camera at the front. The phone is backed by a 4600mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging.
The ZTE Axon 30 Ultra Aerospace Edition is priced at 6,998 Yuan. For context, the vanilla ZTE Axon 30 Ultra with 8GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage is available at 4,698 Yuan. The Axon 30 series was launched by the company earlier this year in April. The series comprises ZTE Axon 30 Pro and ZTE Axon 30 Ultra. Both the devices are 5G compatible. The Axon 30 Ultra is available in four colour options – Black, Mint, White and Leather. The Axon 30 Pro comes in two colour options – Black and White.
