Boris Johnson has won the race to be Prime Minister but his policies for the tech sector remain unclear.

Johnson’s core objective will be to deliver Brexit, but his openness to leaving the EU without a deal has caused great concern in the UK’s startup scene, with fears centred on the loss of access to investment, the single market and tech talent.

His leadership campaign offered few details on his IT strategy, beyond a pledge to roll out full fibre broadband across the UK by 2025, hope for technological solutions to the Irish border problem and calls for new income tax on tech giants.
