Footage of the crash from CBS Los Angeles broadcasts and a video journalist at the scene showed images of at least four vehicles in the wreckage: a Sheriff’s patrol vehicle, two cars and what appears to be an Amazon delivery van. The video journalist’s video confirmed at least one person was killed in the incident.
Authorities did not immediately provide information on the circumstances of the crash or whether they were additional patients.
The California Highway Patrol was investigating the crash.
The Sheriff’s Department announced a road closure on Van Buren, between Jurupa Road and Limonite Avenue, and asked the public to avoid the area.
