Security, Cloud, Endpoint Solutions Key Growth Drivers In 2020



‘People Partners and Planning’

Bracing for the unexpected and managing through historic challenges have become the new priorities for the channel in 2020, Tech Data executives told partners yesterday.

“Over the last few months, we’ve all had changes to how we’re working. if you look at the three priorities at Tech Data it is people, partners, and planning,” Marty Bauerlein, senior vice president sales, North America, at Tech Data told partners during the opening day of Next Tech Digital Experience, the company’s virtual summer show taking place this week.

The company has spent the last few months helping partners and their customers shift to a work from home environment, as well as preparing for what comes next this year, which admittedly, is anyone’s guess. However, regardless of what comes, Bauerlein said Tech Data remains fixed on its goals of partner enablement.

“A lot of us in this industry, and whatever industry you’ve been in, you’ve experienced many changes over the last three months,” he told partners. “I can assure you that Tech Data’s strategy is steadfast, and we’re still running our plays. If you look at our strategy, it’s all about investing in next-gen technologies, strengthening our end to end portfolio, transforming our business digitally, and really optimizing our global footprint.”

Three of Tech Data’s executives: Alex Ryals, vice president of security solutions, Linda Renleman, senior vice president, product marketing, endpoint solutions and Stacy Nethercoat, senior vice president of cloud solutions for the Americas walked partners through the landscape they see facing the channel the rest of the year during a streamed panel.
