Sayph Music streams popular UK radio stations while helping families avoid the algorithms, video content and social features found on mainstream streaming platforms.
15th July 2026: Sayph, the child-first smartphone platform that transforms a smartphone device into a safer phone for children and pre-teens, has launched Sayph Music, a new feature that gives young users access to music, entertainment and live radio while maintaining the platform’s child-safe approach.
The new app allows children to listen to a curated selection of popular UK radio stations, including BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2, Heart, Capital and Virgin Radio, directly through their Sayph device. It also includes an integrated MP3 player, allowing children to enjoy their own music library stored on a microSD card.
Unlike many mainstream music and streaming platforms, Sayph Music does not include video content, social features, recommendation algorithms or user-generated content, helping parents avoid some of the risks and distractions often associated with online entertainment platforms, while still giving children access to the music they enjoy.

The launch follows feedback from families who wanted children to enjoy more of the features typically associated with smartphones, while retaining the safety and simplicity that make Sayph different.
Ami Penolver, Co-Founder of Sayph, said:
“One of the most common questions we hear from families is whether children can listen to music on a Sayph phone. Parents recognise that music plays an important role in children’s lives, whether that’s discovering new artists, listening to the radio on the way to school or enjoying favourite songs they’ve already built a collection of.
“The challenge is that many music platforms now include video content, social features, comments and recommendation feeds that can expose children to content parents may not be comfortable with. Sayph Music gives families another option.”
Sayph Music is designed to provide entertainment without encouraging excessive screen time. As audio-only content, children can listen without needing to watch videos, scroll feeds or engage with online communities.
The feature forms part of Sayph’s ongoing commitment to creating technology that meets the needs of modern families while helping children build healthy digital habits.
Ben Humphrey, Co-Founder of Sayph, added:
“Parents often tell us they don’t want an all-or-nothing approach to technology. They want their children to enjoy the benefits of a smartphone without being exposed to everything that comes with a standard device. Sayph Music is a great example of how we’re responding to that feedback. It gives children access to music and entertainment while avoiding many of the features that parents find concerning on mainstream platforms.
We’re continually evolving the platform to give families more flexibility and more choice, while staying true to our mission of creating safer technology for children.”
Sayph Music was released to all users in a software update on 1st July.
