Police searching for suspects in iRepair Smartphones theft


LINCOLN, Neb. — Lincoln Police are investigating a larceny at a Lincoln phone repair company.

LPD said two men came into iRepair Smartphones near 27th and Superior on Friday. The owner of the company told 10/11 NOW the older man said he was interested in having a tablet repaired and the younger man was just checking phones.

Then, the younger man grabbed phones and ran out of the store.

The owner says the older man asked an employee if he should go follow the younger man, and the employee went in the back of the store to call the police. Then, the older man took off with phones.

Several different iPhones were taken, as well as Galaxy S8s and Pixel 2XLs. However, it’s unclear exactly how many of each item was taken, but the total loss of the products was about $3,000, the company said.
