Police pursuit of motorcyclist in Fontana ends in fatal crash – Press Enterprise


Motorcyclists who fled Fontana police were killed in a car crash on Sunday night, July 18, officials said.

Policeman Kevin Anderson, a spokesman for Fontana Police, said he saw some motorcycles appearing to be racing in the areas of Oriander Avenue and Foothill Boulevard around 9:40 pm ..

Police officers tried to pull two motorcyclists, but they took off and police eventually chased one, he said.

The motorcyclist crashed into a sedan a few miles away on Valley Boulevard and Palmetto Avenue, and the rider was thrown out of his bike and died on the scene.

At least two of the car’s crew complained of pain and were taken to the hospital and released.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash. The coroner’s office has not yet identified a motorcyclist.
