oneplus 7 out of stock: Here’s why you can’t buy the cheapest OnePlus smartphone of 2019

Since the last couple of years, OnePlus had been launching two smartphones in a year. In the first half of the year, the company launched its flagship smartphone which was followed by a ’T’ variant that generally includes minor upgrades.

This year, for the first time however, the company launched two flagship smartphones — OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro — at the same time indicating a shift in the company’s strategy. The more affordable of the two, OnePlus 7 was launched at a starting price of Rs 32,999, making it the cheapest OnePlus smartphone of 2019.

However, if you want to get your hands on this base variant of the OnePlus 7 smartphone is not available. While OnePlus’s official website lists both OnePlus 7 variants as out of stock, Amazon only lists the 8GB RAM variant. We even checked with the OnePlus Experience Store (Mall of India, Noida) and they confirmed that the 6GB+128GB model is not in stock currently. Upon asking whether the variant is expected to be available soon, we were told that there is no word on that in fact, the store told us that this particular variant has not been available since the last two months.

Therefore the only choice for you, if you are looking to buy the cheapest OnePlus smartphone, right now is the 8GB RAM and 256GB variant that was launched at Rs 37,999, but as part of OnePlus New Year sale on Amazon, can be purchased at Rs 34,999. Interestingly, the OnePlus 7T is also available at the same starting price during the sale. At the same price point, the OnePlus 7T offers upgradation such as 90Hz refresh rate, 30W Warp Charge support, improved processor and triple camera setup making it a more obvious choice.
