After introducing the A98 5G a couple of months ago, OPPO Malaysia launched its younger brother A78 recently.
Continuing the spirit of “A-volution”, the A78 basically is a scaled-down version of the A98 5G, most noticeable in the name itself. Yep, no 5G.
Mainly due to the SoC itself, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 is an old chip from 2021 thus a product created during the transition to mass 5G network support across the world.
But in exchange for that, you get a device under a thousand bucks while offering quite a value across the board that is not 5G-related.
