It was time to say goodbye for Mt. San Jacinto College graduates.
In two ceremonies Thursday, May 26, the college bid farewell to 2,226 graduates, the largest graduating class in its nearly 60-year history.
The college awarded 3,219 degrees and certificates. Graduates received a total of 2,717 associate degrees and 502 certificates, a news release states. Some students received more than one degree, certificate, or a combination.
Morning and afternoon ceremonies were staged at the Pechanga Resort Casino near Temecula.
Student speaker Jennifer Larimer and her brother Robert Turcotte graduated together. She overcame dyslexia and ADHD to graduate.
“I wouldn’t have made it this far without the unwavering support of my loving husband, my wonderful family, and the abundant support from the MSJC staff who helped me achieve my goals,” Larimer told classmates, according to the release.
