Livingston County News | Museum of Transportation hosts book sale


WEST HENRIETTA –The New York Museum of Transportation, 6393 East River Rd., will continues its “WinterFun 2019” programs on Sunday with a book sale.

The museum will be selling previously enjoyed books about trains and railroading from its large collection.

The sale is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Museum admission is not required for the book sale, but admission to the museum will allow visitors to view and be hands-on with many trolley cars, steam locomotive, horse drawn and highway vehicles. The museum also includes numerous exhibits of photos, models and artwork.

An exhibit of the Midtown Plaza Monorail is the museum’s newest vehicle for telling the area’s transportation story.

The museum is open Sundays only, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $4 for adults and $3 for children ages 3 to 12 years old,
