“You’ll shoot your eye out, you’ll shoot your eye out!” You can buy the DVD, easily watch it all season long on TBS or TNT, stream A Christmas Story on TBS, or use a few other services to watch this classic film. Or, try the alternatives we’ve listed below.

Whether you want to watch kids stick their tongue on that frozen pole, or you simply love the fishnet stocking leg lamp as I did as a kid, this is a movie you won’t want to miss. It’s a tradition around here, and probably a tradition at your house. If not, it should be.

Unfortunately, TBS hasn’t announced it’s annual “24 hours of A Christmas Story” marathon yet like they’ve done for several years, but we still think it’s coming in 2019 starting December 24th at 8/7c and running for 24 hours straight on Christmas Day.

However, if you don’t want to wait until Christmas Eve to watch it, here are your other options:

A Christmas Story is available now for streaming on TBS and TNT‘s digital sites if you already have cable, but it’s behind a paywall. That means you have to sign into the TBS app with your cable provider login information and verify you have the channel. It’s easy, but that’s not an option if you cut the cord. Plus, you can enjoy the show through DirecTV, Sling TV, FuboTV and Hulu with Live TV, with rental and purchase options from Amazon and others.

Basically, you can easily watch the movie on TBS or TNT, or use one of several other services this holiday season. All of which offer free trials, so you want to start one and stream it just for X-mas and then cancel it.

The 1983 classic Christmas comedy is set in the 1940s where Ralphie and his weird family prepare for the holidays. It’s based on the 1966 novel “In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash” as Ralphie begs his parents and anyone else that will listen that he should get a Red Ryder BB-gun for Christmas. Even though they all protest the idea.

That’s all we’re going to say about the movie though, in the off chance you’ve yet to watch it. So, start a new tradition in your house if you haven’t already, and watch A Christmas Story during the holidays.

Then, If watching the movie isn’t enough for you, you could visit the Christmas Story house in Cleveland, Ohio. You can walk through the rooms and even get your very own stocking leg lamp.
