Center your Apple Pencil on the Magnetic Connector Properly

  • Make sure the iPad you want to use is on and unlocked.
  • Place the Apple Pencil on the wide side of the iPad Pro with the magnetic strip.
  • Tap Pair when the Bluetooth Pairing Request appears.

Restart your iPad

With Face ID

  • Press and hold either volume button and the top button until the power off slider appears.
  • Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off.
  • To turn your device back on, press and hold the top button until you see the Apple logo.

With Home Button

  • Press and hold the top button until the power off slider appears.
  • Drag the slider, then wait for 30 seconds for your device to turn off.
  • To turn your device back on, press and hold the top button until you see the Apple logo.

Turn OFF and ON Bluetooth

Turn OFF

  • Launch the Settings app from your iPad’s Home screen.
  • Go to Bluetooth settings.
  • And toggle the slider towards the left to turn it OFF.

Restart the Device

With Face ID

  • Press and hold either volume button and the top button until the power off slider appears.
  • Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off.
  • To turn your device back on, press and hold the top button until you see the Apple logo.

With Home Button

  • Press and hold the top button until the power off slider appears.
  • Drag the slider, then wait for 30 seconds for your device to turn off.
  • To turn your device back on, press and hold the top button until you see the Apple logo.

Turn ON

  • Launch the Settings app from your iPad’s Home screen.
  • Go to Bluetooth settings.
  • And toggle the slider towards the left to turn it ON.

If you don’t see the Pair button, wait for one minute while your Apple Pencil charges. Then try connecting your Apple Pencil again and wait until you see the Pair button.

Forget Apple Pencil from iPad

  • Launch the Settings app from your iPad’s Home screen.
  • Tap Bluetooth.
  • Tap the Info button to the right of Apple Pencil under My Devices.
  • Tap on Forget.

And after this, restart the iPad and try to connect again.

Update Carrier Settings

  • First of all, connect your iPhone/iPad to Wi-Fi or turn on cellular data.
  • Open the Settings app.
  • Go to General settings.
  • Then tap on About.
  • Tap on Update from the pop-up.

Update your iPad

  • Plug your device into power and connect to the Internet with Wi-Fi.
  • Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
  • Tap Download and Install.
  • If a message asks to temporarily remove apps because the software needs more space for the update, tap Continue or Cancel. Later, iOS or iPadOS will reinstall apps that it removed.
  • To update now, tap Install.
  • Or you can tap Later and choose Install Tonight or Remind Me Later.
  •  If you tap Install Tonight, just plug your device into power before you go to sleep. Your device will update automatically overnight.
  • If asked, enter your passcode.
