How to Enable System UI Tuner on Android 11, 10, 9 Pie or earlier

System UI Tuner, as the name suggests, is a simple settings panel that enables the user to tweak various Android system elements like status bar, lock screen, and more. Depending on the Android OS version, users can tweak status bar, ambient display, Do not Disturb (DND), Navigation Bar, and Lock Screen options. As for the status bar, users can change various elements like move the clock position right, left, or center. Hide or show status bar icons, battery percentage, and more. Here is how to enable System UI Tuner on Android 11.

Since Android 10, the clock’s position moved to the left from right; and not everyone is particularly a fan of it. So you can move the clock to the right or even the center of the status bar using the System UI Tuner. System tuner can also hide some icons from the status bar like Bluetooth or NFC, or WiFi. It can also be used to show the Bluetooth icon in status bar if it’s not showing up despite it being enabled. Other use cases include adding Battery percentage and enabling the seconds counter for the clock.

System UI Tuner comes with every Android version so far. However, it’s hidden for some weird reason. Here is how to enable it. The apps listed below only gives you access to it. It does not add any new functionality. You can also enable it using ADB or root. However, you don’t need to go through all that. There is a separate post listed below if you are so inclined. Here in this tutorial, we will be using a System UI Tuner shortcut maker app in order to access the UI tuner settings panel.
