Here Are All the Ways to Watch CBS News’ Vice Presidential Debate

The latest—and, for now, final debate—of the 2024 presidential election cycle takes place on Tuesday hosted by CBS News.

The vice presidential candidates Gov. Tim Walz and Sen. J.D. Vance—respective running mates of Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump—will face off in New York City as the sprint towards Election Day enters its final month.

CBS News will carry the 90-minute debate live starting at 9 p.m. ET. Norah O’Donnell and Margaret Brennan will serve as moderators, and the network has indicated that fact-checking will largely be left up to the participants. That’s been seen in some quarters as a reaction to the GOP-led criticism the ABC News team of David Muir and Linsey Davis received for fact-checking Trump during the debate. CBS News Confirmed will offer fact-checks on a live blog and Major Garrett will provide on-air fact-checks during post-debate coverage.

As with the two previous presidential debates, the vice presidential debate will be simulcast by nearly all news outlets. Here are all the ways you can watch or stream the event. (All times ET.)

ABC News

  • David Muir leads network coverage with the pre-debate program Race to the White House at 8 p.m. airing on ABC and streaming on ABC News Live, Disney+, and Hulu. He’ll also anchor the post-debate show on those same platforms.
  • Joining Muir will be Linsey Davis, Martha Raddatz, Jonathan Karl, Mary Bruce, Rachel Scott, Eva Pilgrim, Pierre Thomas, Matt Gutman, Ian Pannell, Terry Moran, Mireya Villarreal, Elizabeth Schulze, and Washington, D.C., bureau chief Rick Klein.
