On-demand technology platform Gojek announced its latest product on Wednesday as it taps into the healthy lifestyle trend.
Collaborating with local sports places reservation platform DOOgether, Gojek has introduced GoFitness, helping the public to join classes in hundreds of sports studios across Greater Jakarta.
“The launch of GoFitness is part of out commitment to continue innovating in searching for smart ways to ease the life of the people, from the moment they wake up in the morning until they are resting at night,” said Gojek Group third party platform head Sony Radhityo in a statement.
An average of more than 11,000 users of the platform reportedly visited sports and health centers every month since early 2019. During the same period, GoFood delivered over 600,000 portions of healthy foods.
GoFitness allows users to access tens of thousands of exercise classes in Greater Jakarta, such as yoga, pilates, pound fit, barre, muay thai and Zumba. Additionally, it also boasts interesting promos and integration with the GoPay digital payment platform.
Since being launched in January 2015, Gojek boasts more than 155 million users, over 1 million driver partners, almost 400,000 merchant partners and more than 60,000 service providers across Southeast Asia. The app is available on iOS as well as Android devices.
Launched in 2016, DOOgether has two main products, DOOFIT and DOOFOOD. The former is a reservation service for more than 20,000 exercise classes in more than 200 health centers across Greater Jakarta, Bandung in West Java and Bali. Meanwhile, the latter offers a healthy catering marketplace service in collaboration with nine Greater Jakarta merchants.
GoFitness is available on the homepage of the Gojek app for Android users and shuffle cards for iOS users. (ran/kes)
