After facing a slowdown in growth in 2022 and 2023, the advertising ecosystem has rebounded and is now on pace to grow 7.8% in 2024 to a total of $990 billion. Investments in events like Cannes Lions and Possible, which cater to professionals in the advertising industry, reflect long-term optimism in its continued growth.
“The acquisition of Cannes Lions by Informa is a really positive sign for the industry,” said Complex chief executive Aaron Levant. “The purchase signals that the advertising and marketing industry is in good shape with many platforms, publishers and agencies further investing in the event.”
