Amazon’s Insanely Affordable Air Quality Monitor Pairs with Alexa – Review Geek

Indoor air pollution isn’t just gross; it’s also a major health concern and a leading cause of work fatigue. And while an air quality monitor can help you fight indoor air pollution, they often come from weird no-name brands and cost hundreds of bucks. Not anymore—Amazon now sells its own Air Quality Monitor, and it costs just $70.

The Amazon Air Quality Monitor is a small device that constantly measures your home’s temperature, humidity, and air quality. It tests for fine particulate matter (PM), volatile organic compounds (VOCs) released from glues and other chemicals, and of course, carbon monoxide (CO).

And this should come as no surprise—the Air Quality Monitor connects with Alexa for voice commands. You can ask your Echo smart speaker for a quick run-down on your air quality, but ideally, you’ll use an Echo Show smart display to see a detailed view of all the crap that’s floating around your home.

That said, you don’t need to use the Air Quality Monitor with a smart speaker. It has a built-in LED to explain your air quality at a glance and will notify you if your air is particularly nasty.

You can pre-order the Air Quality Monitor at Amazon for $70. Orders start shipping December 8th. If you don’t own a smart display yet, I suggest buying the Air Quality Monitor + Echo Show 5 bundle for just $90—that’s $60 cheaper than what you’d pay for these devices separately!

Crazy enough, Amazon is offering the Air Quality Monitor with an Echo Show 5 smart display for just $90. These products would usually cost $150 if purchased separately!
